A Biblical Philosophy of Music
Isn’t music choice just a matter of personal taste?
Does our choice of music really matter to God?
Isn’t He more concerned with the heart?
Doesn’t my liberty in Christ allow me to listen to whatever I like?
If we want to win people to Christ in the 21st century, don’t we need to win them with a culture with which they can identify?
These are the questions facing our churches today that sadly are not being responded to with the authority of Scripture but rather with the subjectivity of man’s opinion. This series of five messages by Nathan Searle has been presented with a desire to both challenge and equip God’s people to prove what is acceptable unto the Lord that they might understand the issue from God’s perspective as revealed in His Word and thus glorify Him in their musical choices.
For over 25 years, Nathan has had the privilege of ministering in a number of fundamental local churches and ministries around the country and overseas through teaching and preaching in various areas related to music ministry. His musical training has included studies at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. Nathan is the principal of a local-church-based Christian school and serves as one of the pastors of Southern Cross Baptist Church. The Lord has blessed Nathan with a wonderful wife and five cherished children.
DVD copies of the series may also be purchased for $10. Please email us with your order.
